I'd post the practice vid, but I don't think my instructor even has it up on her youtube site, so I wouldn't want to do it without her permission...but that's a wonderful song for fluid moves...and so interesting to see different interpretations of it...
I'll ask her about it this weekend and see what she says...I don't think the actual performance was recorded...
Oh...and your hair is gorgeous...the cowries just look like they belong there...I'm working on getting mine that long...is just down to the bottom of my shoulder blades, at the moment...the longest it's ever been... -

Tue, May 27, 2008 - 6:25 PMThanks so much! Yeah, that song is rad. It's got such a lovely contrast between big expansive feelings and little controlled bursts of energy, and I think it opens itself up to a lot of different interpretations.
As for the hair... My trick was to stop cutting it altogether. I know everyone's got their own method, but because I've been very consistent for years in the way I treat my hair, it just reached that length and has stayed there. I found that where ever I cut it, it just got dry from there, so why help the dryness work its way up?
