      so sweet! love to see when mothers and daughters partner up and dance together. it shows the continuation of such a beautiful art!
      also, so nice to see you *having fun*!
      lots of times we see very serious performances, which have their time and place...but fun is fun and this duet was awesome.

        This was exactly my point, to give a fun performance that had people clapping, its so straight forward with the repeated chorus that audience could get up and follow if they wanted to.

      The music was Boom Shak a Lak by Apache Indian. I heard it last year at another belly dance event but the performer just stood in one spot jiggling about, I made a mental note of it (as you do) and thought "I can do better than that" I had in fact choreo'd it for me and someone who decided to clear off on holiday, my daughter stepped in bravely (it was her first hafla) we only got together on one Saturday to practice, she learned it by watching me demonstrate it in my living room from a video up on youtube, she likes to work hard thank goodness!
